Our hope is in God alone, not in the political system. Though we don’t know what’s happening behind the scenes, we can have great confidence that the Lord is intricately involved in every aspect of our lives and that He reigns above all. So what’s our part? We must vote and engage. But we must engage without giving license to the political spirit to influence our hearts. You must not see yourself as a victim. Granted, some people experienced crisis and trauma early in life. But despite that, you are not under your circumstances as a child of God.
